When the Burning Legion began their third invasion, Tirion again led the Argent Crusade's forces to defend Azeroth, but he was captured and killed in the disastrous Battle for the Broken Shore. Tirion led the Argent Crusade into battle during the invasion of Northrend and directed the successful assault against Icecrown Citadel, personally using Ashbringer to shatter Frostmourne and defeat the Lich King. Tirion was one of the first Knights of the Silver Hand, and when the Lich King rose to threaten Azeroth, Tirion founded the Argent Crusade, an order of holy warriors, to combat the Scourge.
